Fulop says he's looking at a run for governor in 2025
Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop officially informed residents Tuesday he won’t run for reelection in 2025. It’s no surprise he has aspirations for higher office, and Tuesday’s announcement is widely seen as a signal he’ll run for governor again. Fulop never officially announced candidacy for governor in 2017, but was considered a frontrunner at the time.
