Hollin Hills was the brainchild of renowned architect, Charles Goodman.

Peter Christensen, a guide at the Pope-Leighey House, and Barbara Bogue, Chair of the Friends of Hollin Hills discuss the neighborhood's roots as the brainchild of renowned architect, Charles Goodman. When he designed Hollin Hills in the 1940s, Goodman hoped to encourage community and maximize family interaction with home designs that were heavily influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright.
