About 18 months ago, The Onion won a court-mandated auction for Infowars' parent company after Alex Jones was found liable for defamation after calling the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting a hoax. The acquisition sat in limbo while legal roadblocks got in the way — until now.
